Why this site exists, what "full depth" actually means, and how we source and verify historical sports data.

The gap we're building for

Search "every rugby league ladder since 1908" and you'll find a handful of dedicated, obsessive single-sport archives — built by fans, not companies, and genuinely comprehensive within their one sport. Search for the same thing across most other sports and you'll either find a similar single-sport specialist, or a broad multi-sport data platform that covers dozens of sports at a shallow, API-first depth. Nobody has combined true breadth with that kind of per-sport obsessiveness under one roof. That's what we're building here, one sport at a time.

Build order

Every sport gets built to full depth before we move to the next one — we'd rather have two sports done properly than five sports done thinly.

  1. Rugby League — our proof-of-concept build: round-by-round ladder pages across essentially every season, NRL/NSWRL lineage back to 1908, Super League back to 1996.
  2. NBA — next up. A single, well-bounded league with a season-standings structure that reuses the same underlying pattern as the rugby league ladders.
  3. NFL — similar tractability to the NBA, queued directly after.
  4. Football (soccer) — scoped to a single competition to start, rather than attempted as all of football at once, since football has no single bounded competition the way the other sports on this list do.
  5. Cricket — the most data-intensive build in the queue (multiple formats, dozens of domestic competitions, history back to the 1870s) — last, once the sourcing process has been proven on simpler structures first.

How we source and verify data

Every dataset on this site is sourced from primary or established reference records, credited on the page it appears, and cross-checked against more than one source where possible. Where we can't verify a figure with confidence, we say so directly on the page rather than publishing a guess. If you spot an error, we want to know — get in touch and we'll investigate and correct it.

What this site is not

We're not a betting site, a live-scores app, or a news outlet. We're a reference archive: the place you come to settle "who actually won that," look up a full career record, or see how a season compared to the ones around it.
