Great Britain won 10-6 at Central Park, Wigan, on 11 Nov 1989, the deciding third Test of New Zealand's tour that also counted toward the World Cup Table, taking the series 2-1. Martin Offiah and Alan Tait scored the tries, with Offiah — who also set up Tait's try — named player of the match; New Zealand's reply came from a Kelly Shelford try and goal.
