Name history

    Rugby league history

This ground in Belen de Escobar, Buenos Aires province, is fundamentally a rugby union facility -- home to Camioneros Rugby Club, a corporate/social union club founded in 2019 out of an existing sports and social club, and formerly linked to the traditional union club CASI. Its only rugby league use was as the neutral host for all three matches of the 2024 South American Rugby League Championship between Argentina, Brazil and Chile over 29 November-1 December 2024, reflecting the sport's small, developing presence in Argentina, which has no dedicated stadium infrastructure of its own. One score is disclosed as a genuine discrepancy: Wikipedia's tournament summary states Argentina beat Chile 24-20, while Rugby League Project's own individual match report -- independently re-fetched directly for this entry -- gives Argentina 32-30 Chile; the RLP match page is treated as authoritative here, consistent with the pattern of preferring the site's own primary match records over secondary summaries.
