Name history
Rugby league history
This municipal stadium in Gemona del Friuli hosted three Italy national rugby league team fixtures during the 2014-15 European Championship B campaign, a Rugby League European Federation development competition: wins over Ukraine and Russia in 2014, and a loss to Serbia in 2015. Stadio Comunale is an extremely common generic name for Italian municipal grounds, and no dedicated history specific to this Gemona ground -- including any formal home-club tenancy -- could be found beyond its use for these three internationals.
