Name history
Rugby league history
This is a football club's modern artificial-turf complex in Pembroke, near St Julian's, home to Melita F.C. Malta's rugby league program, which lacks any dedicated rugby league stadium of its own, used the ground for three national-team fixtures: a 2011 European Shield win over Norway, a 2014 European Championship C loss to Greece, and a 2015 loss to Ireland. Not to be confused with an unrelated venue of a similar name in Sydney, Australia, tied to the Maltese diaspora community there, which has no connection to this ground.
