Ground facts
| Opened | 1888 (This site's area field reads Edinburgh (Hawick); this traces directly to Rugby League Project's own location data for the venue, but is nonetheless geographically misleading -- Hawick is a separate Scottish Borders town roughly 50 miles/80km south of Edinburgh, not a suburb or district of it. Capacity and the two matches' exact dates are not fully corroborated: capacity is effectively single-sourced, and independent press reports both matches one day later than Rugby League Project's own dates, though the scores agree across sources.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
Mansfield Park has been the home of Hawick RFC, one of Scottish rugby union's most decorated clubs, since 1888. In July 2026 it hosted its first rugby league fixtures, a men's and a women's Scotland vs Canada international, arranged by Scotland Rugby League once the union season had ended -- a symbolic choice given several former Hawick players' later rugby league careers in England.
