Rugby league history

A major multi-purpose stadium on Auckland's North Shore (Albany/Rosedale), primarily known as home of North Harbour rugby union and a venue for major football tournaments (2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup final; 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup; an official reserve venue for Rugby World Cup 2011), but also historically notable in rugby league as host of the 1998 Anzac Test. Distinct from the NZ Warriors' main home ground, Mt Smart Stadium, in South Auckland/Penrose — not to be confused with each other.

Primary tenant is rugby union (North Harbour, and since 2025 Moana Pasifika); also hosts football and cricket.
