Rugby league history
This site's city note Marseille (Carpentras) reflects a genuinely ambiguous location field also present on Rugby League Project's own venue page. Its sole recorded rugby league fixture was a Kumuls Tour 2007 warm-up match on 31 October 2007, in which Papua New Guinea beat a France B side 38-12, in front of 700 spectators, confirmed via Rugby League Project's own venue records; this fixture does not appear on Wikipedia's list of Papua New Guinea's full international results, consistent with it being a tour warm-up game rather than an official Test.
