Name history
Rugby league history
Stade Magnagounet is a municipal multi-sport ground in Pamiers, Ariege, the long-time home of rugby league club Pamiers-Vernajoul XIII. It hosted a France Under-24s fixture against a touring New Zealand side in 1980 and a Midi-Pyrenees representative match against Australia during the Kangaroos' 1982 tour, both regional/representative rather than full-international fixtures. A separate athletics stadium in the same town, Stade Balussou, is a distinct venue and not to be confused with this ground.
