Rugby league history

One of French rugby league's most historic grounds, hosting Kangaroos and Kiwis touring-side Tests virtually every few years from 1938 through 1989, then French national-team fixtures and European Cup matches into the 2020s. RC Albi XIII, forced to merge with SC Albi during a wartime (1941-44) Vichy government ban on rugby league, has won the French Championship/Super XIII title six times, most recently in 2024-25 (26-16 over AS Carcassonne), and also hosted several French rugby league finals as a neutral venue, including the 2010 French Rugby League Cup final and the 2016 and 2018 Elite Championship finals.

Rugby union (SC Albi) and athletics (French national championships in 2008, 2011 and 2018, and the international DecaNation event in 2012).
