Ground facts
| Opened | 1908 (Opened 7 September 1908 as a velodrome/athletics ground built by Union Sportive Montalbanaise; capacity approx. 9,200-9,210. Still standing and actively used today as the home of rugby union club US Montauban. Our directory's town field reads "Toulouse (Montauban)" -- this is very likely inherited directly from Rugby League Project's own venue page, independently confirmed via direct WebFetch to read "Montauban, Toulouse" (two names, comma-separated). Every other source checked (Wikipedia, the French sports ministry, a specialist French rugby league history site) places this stadium unambiguously and solely in Montauban, roughly 50km from Toulouse, with no legitimate Toulouse connection found -- this looks like a genuine data quirk on Rugby League Project's own side rather than a real second location.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
This rugby union stadium's sole recorded rugby league match came on 8 January 1952, when a Tarn-et-Garonne representative side lost 3-20 to the touring New Zealand Kiwis in front of 5,240. No independent secondary source could be found to cross-check this fixture's details beyond Rugby League Project itself -- Wikipedia's own account of that 1951-52 Kiwis tour states plainly that it is missing information on most of the tour's matches, and does not cover this fixture at all.
