Name history
Rugby league history
A municipal rugby league ground in Saint-Esteve, a suburb of Perpignan in southern France's traditional rugby league heartland. Originally home to AS Saint-Esteve (six French championships between 1970-71 and 1997-98, four Lord Derby Cup wins), it later hosted its successor clubs and has also staged full France national-team fixtures independent of any club tenancy, most recently a 2024 Rugby League World Cup European qualifying decider (France beating Wales 48-6, crowd 2,150, the top figure recorded on this site) on the same day as a Serbia vs Ukraine placing match. An earlier full international, France 68-8 Serbia, was played there in 2015.
