| Opened | Not applicable in the conventional sense (Ursinus College itself was founded in 1869, with an intercollegiate athletics tradition dating to the 1880s-90s, but no specific opening date or name for the particular field used for these rugby league fixtures was found. Rugby League Project labels the venue's location 'Philadelphia,' though the college is actually in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, roughly 25 miles northwest of the city -- a metro-area simplification rather than a literal location, disclosed to avoid confusion.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
A US liberal arts college (NCAA Division III) that briefly hosted early USA national rugby league team (USARL) home internationals during the sport's mid-1990s relaunch in America: two matches against a touring Welsh side in June 1995 (a low-budget, poorly promoted tour, with the second match drawing the top crowd of 2,500 recorded on this site, though a Rugby League Project retrospective citing a Wales player describes the actual in-stadium atmosphere as sparse despite that recorded figure), and a win over Canada in a fixture Rugby League Project dates to 1 January 1997, though that exact date is very likely a placeholder for an unconfirmed calendar date rather than a literal New Year's Day fixture. No capacity, floodlights or specific playing-surface details were found; the college's current rugby programs are rugby union, unconnected to these 1990s rugby league fixtures.
