Game 3, 2007 State of Origin

July 4, 2007 · Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane

Game 3, 2007 State of Origin: New South Wales 18–4 Queensland, at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on July 4, 2007.

Attendance: 52,469

Dead rubber -- Queensland had already clinched the series 2-0. Hazem El Masri made his Origin debut at age 31 after 11 years in top-grade football, replacing the injured Jamie Lyon, and scored and kicked in his first game; this was Matt King's farewell Origin appearance before his move to Super League. Dallas Johnson was knocked out in the first minute; Greg Inglis and Brent Tate both suffered knee injuries, leaving Queensland with very limited bench options. Queensland's bench (Matt Bowen, Dane Carlaw) reflects late injury withdrawals of Jacob Lillyman and Neville Costigan.
