Rugby League: Champions ▾

Attendance: 51,690

Four players were sin-binned (10 minutes each) following a mass shove/brawl -- widely reported as controversial, with NSW captain Paul Gallen saying only Merrin deserved it. NSW made heavy enforced changes (Dugan for the injured Hayne, Woods for the suspended Tamou, Merritt for the suspended Ferguson); kickoff was delayed roughly 15 minutes for the announcement of a change of Australian Prime Minister. Exact try-scoring minutes for Boyd's second try and Inglis's try are not confirmed.
