Rugby league history
A short-lived Rhondda Valley rugby league venture: Treherbert RLFC won 4, drew 1 and lost 13 of its first season's fixtures, finishing 28th of 31 clubs, then completed only 12 games in its second season (aggregate score 55-289) before failing to fulfil its fixture list and being ruled ineligible for continued league membership at the 1910 AGM. The final home match was a 5-7 loss to Merthyr on 12 Feb 1910. The ground is now covered by light industry on the banks of the River Rhondda.
