Name history
Rugby league history
A multi-use stadium in Brakpan, on the East Rand of Gauteng, South Africa (loosely described in some sources as near Pretoria, though Brakpan is administratively part of Ekurhuleni, roughly 40-50km from Pretoria itself), used for rugby union, football and occasional rugby league internationals. All four recorded matches are South Africa home fixtures: two against Lebanon (25 and 31 October 2015) in the Middle East-Africa play-off for 2017 Rugby League World Cup qualification, which Lebanon won 90-28 on aggregate to qualify, and two against Niue (29 October and 2 November 2016), which South Africa lost 22-50 and 0-44. The 2 November date and 44-point margin for the second Niue match were confirmed via a direct re-check of Rugby League Project's own results page, resolving an initial discrepancy in secondary source summaries over whether the match was played on 2 or 11 November and whether Niue's score was 44 or 55. No capacity or floodlight information could be found.
