Rugby league history
This everyday municipal football pitch in the Glyka Nera suburb of Athens has hosted Greece's national rugby league team for its rare home fixtures, since Greece has no dedicated rugby league stadium. It hosted what is widely described as the first-ever rugby league international played on Greek soil, a 2006 win over Serbia, followed by a 2018 fixture against Malta.
