Rugby league history
A historic multi-purpose stadium in the Athens suburb of Nea Smyrni, long the home of Panionios football club, this ground hosted a single rugby league international: Greece lost 6-40 to Serbia on 13 May 2023, in front of 1,000 spectators, confirmed identically on Rugby League Project and Wikipedia's Greece results records. The match was notable as Greece's first home international in around five years, following a period in which the Greek rugby league federation had reportedly been barred from using government-owned pitches.
