Name history
Rugby league history
Hutt Recreational Ground hosted two Kangaroos touring matches against the Central Districts representative side of the lower North Island: a 1980 defeat and a 1985 defeat that drew the venue's recorded top crowd of 5,500. Independently re-confirmed via direct WebFetch of Rugby League Project's own results page for this entry, a scoreline discrepancy is disclosed rather than resolved: RLP records the matches as 23-0 (1980) and 24-4 (1985), while Wikipedia's tour articles instead give 30-0 and 44-0 for the same two fixtures, agreeing only on the crowd figures; RLP's figures are treated as the primary record for this site.
