Stade Sebastien Charlety
Paris, Île-de-France, France
Stade Sebastien Charlety, Paris, France — opened 1938; major renovation in 1994, shortly before its rugby league era began, 26 rugby league games hosted, home of Paris Saint-Germain Rugby League, 1996-1997 (the entirety of the club's Super League existence), hosting 22 of its 24 home matches here (two others staged at Narbonne and Bayonne in Aug 1997).
Sourcing caveat: A research pass on this venue initially reported a New Zealand v Samoa 2000 World Cup match here and a corrected 2009 Four Nations attendance of 12,412 on 31 Oct; a direct check of this site's own match-record source for the venue found neither claim in its 26-match list and instead confirmed the figures used above (7,498 for both 28 Oct 2000 fixtures, and 8,656 for the 7 Nov 2009 France v Australia match), so those two unconfirmed figures are not used.

Rugby league history
Paris Saint-Germain Rugby League were founded on 23 Dec 1995 and dissolved on 3 Nov 1997, playing their entire Super League existence (44 matches, 9 wins, 1 draw, 34 losses) largely at this venue. Average home attendance fell sharply, from 8,026 in 1996 to 5,201 in 1997, as the club's results worsened; their final match here was a 6-48 loss to Salford in a 1997 end-of-season playoff. The venue also hosted two 1997 World Club Challenge fixtures — PSG 12-28 Hunter Mariners and PSG 24-0 Perth Reds — and, after PSG folded, continued to host major rugby league internationals through 2009.
A long-standing multi-purpose venue: rugby union (Paris Université Club since 1939, Stade Français 2010-2013), football (Paris FC, on and off since 2007) and athletics (hosted IAAF Grand Prix Finals in 1994 and 2002). An indoor arena beneath the stadium, Salle Pierre Charpy, is home to Paris Volley.
