Ground facts
| Opened | unknown (the ground has 19th-century origins as the Cardiff Harlequin Athletic Club's ground, which folded in 1899) (The venue's exact identity required cross-referencing several sources: it appears to be the ground now used by St Peters RFC, referred to elsewhere as Harlequins Recreation Ground or Harlequins Playing Field, off Newport Road in Roath, Cardiff -- this identification is inferred from name-matching and geography rather than stated explicitly by a single source. A separate source gives a slightly different street address (Minster Road) that could not be confirmed as the same or a neighbouring site.) |
