Name history
Rugby league history
A Rhosymedre, Wrexham football ground, opened in 2010 as the new home of Cefn Druids A.F.C. It became a temporary rugby league venue in 2014 when North Wales Crusaders relocated their home fixtures there while their usual Racecourse Ground underwent resurfacing work. The Crusaders played six matches at The Rock across the 2014 Championship and 2015 League 1 seasons, drawing crowds of up to 715, before later settling at Queensway Stadium.
