9 different venues have hosted a Rugby League World Cup final across the tournament's 16 completed editions.
The tournament's biggest stages
Old Trafford, Manchester, England in Manchester is the World Cup's most-used final venue by a clear margin, hosting the decider three times — 2000, 2013 and 2021/2022 — and it was there in 2013 that the World Cup recorded its largest ever crowd for a single match, 74,468, watching Australia beat New Zealand 34-2. Wembley Stadium, London, England in London has hosted two finals (1992 and 1995), and it was Wembley's vast capacity that organisers deliberately chased for the 1992 decider: no Australian venue at the time could match it, and the gamble produced what was then a world record rugby league crowd of 73,631. The Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, Australia and Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, Australia (formerly Lang Park) have each hosted two finals as well, reflecting how often Australia's east coast has staged the tournament's showpiece match across the code's history. Odsal Stadium, Bradford, England in Bradford, the venue for the dramatic 1960 decider, and Eden Park, Auckland, New Zealand in Auckland, the setting for what was then the largest rugby league crowd ever recorded in New Zealand back in 1988, each hosted a final exactly once, underlining how much of the World Cup's biggest-match history is concentrated in a small handful of grounds rather than spread evenly across the sport's traditional countries.
This covers World Cup final venues only — we don't yet have a full match-by-match archive of every group-stage and knockout venue used across all 16 tournaments. That's a planned deeper layer, not a gap we're hiding: see the tournament pages linked above for host-country/city detail at the tournament level.
