Birchgrove Oval #3
Sydney (Birchgrove), New South Wales, Australia
Birchgrove Oval #3, Sydney (Birchgrove), Australia — opened unknown, 7 rugby league games hosted, home of none confirmed — a rotating set of NSWRFL Reserve Grade district sides.
Sourcing caveat: Companion entry to 'Birchgrove Oval #2' — see that entry for the full explanation of Rugby League Project's unexplained three-way split of its Birchgrove venue records (main entry plus #2 and #3), most plausibly a duplicate/fragmentary record of early Reserve Grade fixtures at the same physical ground rather than a genuinely separate playing field, though this remains unconfirmed.

Name history
Rugby league history
A Rugby League Project database entry recording seven NSWRFL Reserve Grade fixtures between June 1908 and June 1909, involving Balmain, Souls, Glebe, Norths, Newtown, Sydney and Easts reserve sides (including a cancelled Glebe-Norths fixture and a Newtown-Norths draw); no crowd figures survive for any of them. Almost certainly connected to the same Birchgrove Oval that hosted rugby league's inaugural 1908 round in Australia and served as Balmain's long-time home ground.
