Rugby league history
Bolton Park was one of two distinct Wagga Wagga grounds used for touring representative rugby league matches in this era — the other being Robertson Oval, whose own recorded matches (1928-1970) do not overlap in date with Bolton Park's (1960 and 1962), confirming these are genuinely separate venues rather than the same ground under two names. Both hosted the well-established pattern of touring international sides (France, Great Britain) playing a composite Riverina regional representative team during their Australian tours.
