Cessnock Sports Ground
Cessnock, New South Wales, Australia
Cessnock Sports Ground, Cessnock, Australia — opened Predates a 2004 grandstand redevelopment date sometimes cited as an opening date; the ground's true founding date is not confirmed, 25 rugby league games hosted, home of Cessnock Goannas (local rugby league club); Newcastle Knights NSW Cup/Reserve Grade side, the dominant home tenant in this site's own match records (2011-2026).
Sourcing caveat: The ground's original founding date is not confirmed; 2004 (found in general stadium databases) most likely reflects the current grandstand's construction rather than the ground's first use, since a historical photo archive shows the ground existing well before then.
