Kempsey Park
Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia
Kempsey Park, Kempsey, Australia — opened Not confirmed, 7 rugby league games hosted, home of North Coast (NSWRFL Country representative side).
Sourcing caveat: A Macleay Argus feature on Kempsey's rugby league history describes this same 1950 Great Britain fixture as having been played at "Verge St Oval" rather than "Kempsey Park" -- Verge Street Oval remains an active ground today, home to the Macleay Valley Mustangs. We could not confirm whether Kempsey Park is an older name for the same site, a separate ground, or a loosely-used local name for whatever the town's main sporting oval was at the time, so this identification question is noted rather than resolved.

| Opened | Not confirmed (No source found gives a founding or opening date, current capacity, or confirmation of current status for a ground specifically named Kempsey Park -- a gap stated plainly rather than guessed at. A local newspaper feature describes the same 1950 Great Britain fixture recorded here as having been played at "Verge St Oval", the ground now used by Kempsey's Macleay Valley Mustangs -- suggestive that Kempsey Park may be an earlier name for the same ground, but this is not independently confirmed and should not be treated as established fact.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
Kempsey Park's seven recorded matches, spanning 1928 to 1966, form an unusually rich touring-team record for a small regional NSW ground: three full international touring fixtures (Great Britain twice, in 1950 and 1966; New Zealand Māori in 1956; and a rare French "Chanticleers" touring side in 1960) alongside NSWRFL Country Carnival games against Sydney premiership clubs Manly and Parramatta, and an early 1928 fixture against a touring NSW representative side. The largest crowd, 7,542, came on 14 June 1950 when the North Coast lost 7-37 to a touring Great Britain Lions squad -- independently confirmed by a second Rugby League Project page (its dedicated 1950 Lions Tour summary) reporting the identical figure.
