| Opened | unknown (No opening date found for the venue. A possible identity overlap with the nearby "Bulimba Memorial Park" (originally Jamieson Park, acquired 1904) was checked but could not be confirmed or ruled out -- Wikipedia's Bulimba Memorial Park article never uses the name "Merry Street Park," and the two appear to have different addresses, but whether they are related sites (a subsection, an earlier name, or wholly separate grounds) is unresolved.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
All 4 recorded matches fall in the earliest years of organised rugby league in Queensland (the QRL formed 1908/1909), during a period of considerable WWI-era club instability -- many clubs folded or merged as players enlisted, which likely explains the venue's rugby league use being confined to just these two seasons. A secondary source on early Brisbane Rugby League history describes the Exhibition Ground as the main hub of that era's competition, suggesting Merry Street Park was a secondary suburban venue rather than a principal one.
