North Ipswich Reserve #2 Ground was deliberately checked against this site's already-published main North Ipswich Reserve entry to test whether Rugby League Project's numbered listing reflected a genuine second ground or a database-splitting duplicate of the same site, a pattern seen elsewhere in this database (Birchgrove Oval). Here the evidence points to a genuinely distinct second playing surface: on at least two 1911 dates, separate Ipswich A and Ipswich B fixtures are recorded as being played simultaneously at the main Reserve and at the #2 Ground respectively, which requires two physical surfaces. 1911 was the one season Ipswich fielded two senior teams in the Brisbane competition, which likely explains why a second ground was needed only in this narrow window; five of the six recorded matches are from 1911, with a single outlying 1916 semi-final involving an Ipswich junior side, 'Starlights'. No source directly states the ground's physical relationship to the main Reserve; this is inferred from Rugby League Project's own match-scheduling data rather than a stated explanation.
