Name history
Rugby league history
One of the South Coast (Group 7) Rugby League region's most significant grounds, home to the Nowra Warriors for nearly a century and host of the district's inaugural 1913 matches and the 1967 first-grade Group 7 grand final. Its best-attended recorded match was a 1988 international tour fixture between a NSW Southern Division representative side and Papua New Guinea's Kumuls (crowd 800, the top figure recorded on this site); more recent NSW Cup fixtures (2016, 2017) show it remains in occasional first-class use. Today it is mainly marketed by the local council as a caravan and camping venue. No capacity, floodlight or playing-surface information was found.
