Name history
Rugby league history
Rex Jackson Oval in Helensburgh, in Sydney's Cronulla-Sutherland district, has hosted junior and feeder rugby league fixtures between 2021 and 2024. The ground is named for Rex Jackson, a former New South Wales state Labor politician who represented the local Bulli and later Heathcote electorates between 1955 and 1986 and who was later convicted of corruption offences; he was not a rugby league player, and the ground's naming reflects his standing as a local parliamentary figure rather than any playing career.
