Name history
Rugby league history
Roma Showground, part of the Bassett Park showgrounds precinct in this south-western Queensland town, hosted two Winfield State League fixtures between Toowoomba and Past Christian Brothers, in 1983 and 1986 -- a country promotional use of the venue by clubs based well over 200km away, rather than reflecting a local rugby league tenancy. Roma's genuine long-term rugby league home, Arthur Beetson Oval, is a separate ground covered elsewhere on this site.
