Name history
Rugby league history
Tully Showgrounds in Far North Queensland is the home ground of the community club Tully Tigers, but every one of its 6 recorded fixtures is a Queensland Cup match between other clubs entirely -- Souths Logan, Northern Pride, Western Mustangs, Townsville Blackhawks and Tweed Seagulls -- suggesting the ground functions as a promotional or regional-tour venue for the state competition rather than hosting the Tigers' own fixtures. A $7.1 million grandstand opened in November 2020, replacing the Percy Pease Grandstand, which had served the community since the 1930s.
