Ground facts
| Opened | The broader University Oval complex traces to at least 1898 (cricket); rugby league use is recorded here 1922-1936 (A genuine, unresolved discrepancy: Sydney University RLFC's own Wikipedia article states the University Sports Association banned the club from training or playing at University Oval throughout its 1920-1937 NSWRFL premiership years, and that the club 'never played a home match at University Oval during its premiership years' — in apparent tension with this site's own recorded 19 matches here, 1922-1936. An attempt to verify directly against this site's usual primary source for the venue did not succeed (the page could not be reached). This is stated as an open conflict, not resolved in either direction.) |
