Rugby league history
Ziems Park in Corrimal, within the City of Wollongong, has been the Corrimal Cougars' home ground since 1934, and today serves as a genuine home venue for Illawarra-affiliated NSW Cup and NSWRL Women's Premiership fixtures, appearing consistently as the home side across all 6 recorded matches. In 1970 its banks were upgraded with support from the South Bulli Mine's community relations program, after which it was regarded as one of the best grounds in the Illawarra district.
