Name history
Rugby league history
Athletic Ground (Richmond), better known as Richmond Athletic Ground, is the historic home of Richmond F.C. and London Scottish rugby union since the 1880s and 1890s respectively, and hosted England rugby union internationals between 1891 and 1909. It began hosting rugby league for the first time in 2026, when London Broncos used it as a satellite home venue across the Challenge Cup, 1895 Cup, Championship and Women's Championship, alongside the club's usual home at Plough Lane. Independently re-verified via direct WebFetch of the venue's own results table, which confirmed all 6 recorded 2026 fixtures, including the Women's Championship match that had not been located in an earlier pass.
