Rugby league history

A Birmingham rugby venue that became the Midlands Hurricanes' new rugby league home at the start of the 2026 season, under a 20-year lease agreed with landlord and co-tenant Bournville RFC, described by the Hurricanes' managing director Eorl Crabtree as giving the club 'a real rugby home' after previously playing at the athletics-track Alexander Stadium. The Hurricanes reached the 1895 Cup semi-final there in their first season, losing 24-62 to London.

Also home to Bournville RFC (rugby union).
