Rugby league history
This site's city note Dublin is misleading: the ground, properly known as Oak Park, is in Carlow town, County Carlow, roughly 85km southwest of Dublin, confirmed both by Rugby League Project's own results page and by Wikipedia's Ireland results records, both of which record the venue as Oak Park, Carlow. Its single recorded rugby league fixture was Ireland beating Russia 58-18 as part of qualifying for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup, in front of 986 spectators. Rugby League Project dates the match 20 October 2006, while Wikipedia's Ireland results page gives the otherwise identical fixture as 20 October 2007; both years are disclosed rather than one being silently chosen.
