Rugby league history
The home of Shamrock Rovers F.C. and a venue for domestic and European club football, also used occasionally by the Republic of Ireland women's and U21 football teams and for rugby union fixtures. Its rugby league connection is limited to hosting Ireland's national rugby league team for three international fixtures: a 2010 European Cup loss to Scotland, and two 2014 European Championship matches -- a win over France (crowd 1,428, the top figure recorded on this site) and a loss to Scotland. No rugby league club is based there.
