Rugby league history

Dewsbury Moor is a grassroots amateur rugby league venue serving a wide community catchment across Dewsbury Moor, Ravensthorpe, Heckmondwike and neighbouring areas, fielding teams from Under-8s through open age. The three matches recorded at this specific home venue are all amateur Challenge Cup ties: two 2022 Women's Challenge Cup rounds (heavy defeats to York City and Bradford) and a 2025 men's Challenge Cup first-round win over Haresfinch. The club's own men's team has played many more Challenge Cup fixtures overall, but most were played away from this home ground, which is why Rugby League Project's venue-specific record here is limited to just these three matches.
