Ground facts
| Opened | unknown (No opening date is documented for the ground itself. Thornton Heath is confirmed as a genuine district within the London Borough of Croydon, about 1.5 miles from Croydon town centre, so this site's area field is accurate here. The wide 2003-2025 match-date range was independently re-verified via direct WebFetch of Rugby League Project's own results page: it reflects two genuinely isolated Challenge Cup qualifying ties by two different visiting amateur rugby league clubs borrowing the resident union club's ground, 22 years apart, rather than a data error.) |

Name history
Rugby league history
Frant Road is fundamentally a rugby union ground, home of Streatham-Croydon RFC, which received a 270,000-pound community-sport renovation in 2013. Rugby league has appeared there only twice, as one-off Challenge Cup qualifying fixtures for visiting amateur clubs: a 2003 tie in which South London hosted West Bowling, and a 2025 tie in which London Chargers hosted Oulton Raiders.
