Name history
Rugby league history
Grass Road was a home ground used by Distington ARLFC, a Cumbrian amateur club, for Challenge Cup fixtures in 2018 and 2019, before the club later used other grounds in the same area (West View Road, Distington Community Sports Club) in subsequent seasons. The three matches recorded here are all early-round Challenge Cup ties, including a 48-0 win over Torfaen in 2019 that stands as the venue's biggest recorded winning margin.
