Rugby league history
Fundamentally a non-league football ground — the long-time home of Horwich RMI F.C. — that briefly and secondarily hosted Chorley Borough's rugby league team as a groundshare in 1992-93 while the club was between permanent homes, playing Third Division, Challenge Cup and Regal Trophy fixtures there. The ground was demolished after Horwich RMI relocated to Hilton Park, Leigh in 1994-95; the site is now a residential housing development.
Primarily an association football ground (Horwich RMI F.C.).
