Rugby league history
Doncaster relocated to this greyhound/speedway stadium in Stainforth, near Doncaster, after their final match at Tattersfield on 23 Apr 1995 (later sold for housing), briefly ground-sharing Belle Vue Stadium with Doncaster Rovers F.C. while Meadow Court was prepared. All matches here were Doncaster's Second Division home fixtures across the 1995/96, 1996 and 1997 seasons (British rugby league switched from a winter to a summer season format in 1996, hence the short intervening 'seasons'), with attendances from 510 up to 1,449 (v York Wasps, 8 Apr 1996). The club's final match at the ground was a 0-60 loss to Hunslet Hawks on 13 Jul 1997, after which Doncaster returned permanently to Belle Vue Stadium for 1998.
Primarily a greyhound racing stadium, still operating under the name Doncaster Stadium; also historically used for speedway.
