Name history
Rugby league history
Priestfield Stadium is the long-standing home of Gillingham F.C. in the League of Wales (association football) pyramid, on Redfern Avenue in Gillingham, Kent. It hosted two rugby league fixtures in the early 2010s as part of the sport's periodic efforts to stage representative or exhibition matches in non-traditional areas of south-east England, drawing a crowd of up to 3,930 for its best-attended fixture. The ground has no rugby league tenant club and its rugby league use appears to have been a short-lived one-off rather than a recurring fixture.
