Rugby league history

South Sydney made Redfern Oval their settled home from 1948, decades after the club's earliest premiership-winning eras in the 1920s (which predate the club's Redfern tenancy). Souths shifted their primary home fixtures to the Sydney Cricket Ground/Moore Park after 1987, with only a brief three-game premiership return to Redfern in 1996, before eventually settling at Stadium Australia (Accor Stadium) from 2006. The ground has since been rebuilt as the club's high-performance training centre.
