Name history
Rugby league history
Richmond Hill, named for the historic inner-city Leeds district in which it sits, is the home ground of East Leeds ARLFC, who took ownership of the site (previously East Leeds Working Men's Club) in 2010. All 6 recorded fixtures are Challenge Cup preliminary rounds played between 2011 and 2019. Richmond Hill itself is a historic district cut through by 1840s railway lines, once home to Wesleyan Methodist chapels and a school bombed in a 1941 German air raid, though none of that district history connects directly to the rugby league ground.
