Name history

    Rugby league history

Home grounds of the Royal Air Force's representative rugby league team, which traces to an unofficial 'Blue Bombers' squad formed in 1992 to work around a then-ban on the sport in the military; RAF Rugby League gained official sanction in January 1996. The RAF side plays its home Challenge Cup qualifying ties here, and also competes annually in the Inter-Services Championship against the Army and Royal Navy, winning the title in 2001, 2012 and 2016. No crowd figures survive for any of the nine recorded matches at the College, spanning 2010 to 2024.
