Name history

    Rugby league history

Rushmills is fundamentally the rugby union home of Northampton Casuals RFC. It briefly hosted rugby league via Northampton Demons, an amateur club launched in 2007 with promotional backing from Northampton Saints players who had rugby league backgrounds, before the Demons later moved elsewhere and eventually dissolved in 2018 through low player numbers. Its two recorded matches were both 2011 Challenge Cup qualifying-round fixtures against university sides.
